What the service is
This is on-site interpreting: the interpreter comes with you to the meeting room, factory floor, exhibition stand or bank counter. You speak a section, the interpreter renders it, and the other side's replies come straight back to you in Chinese. The language pairs are Chinese ⇄ English and Chinese ⇄ Malay.
Business in Malaysia is mostly conducted in English, while government offices and some local companies also use Malay. Many Malaysian Chinese speak Mandarin, but when it comes to contract terms, technical specifications and amounts, having an interpreter on hand to confirm each point gives both sides more confidence.

How to prepare for better results
- Send materials early: agenda, company profile, product sheets and a list of technical terms. The earlier the interpreter has them, the better prepared they will be.
- Explain who is attending and what you want: knowing the other party and your goal helps the interpreter focus on what matters.
- Speak in short sections: pausing regularly gives the interpreter room and is far more accurate than talking for five minutes straight.
- Confirm numbers and dates in writing: follow up amounts, quantities and deadlines by email or in writing after the meeting.
Limits to be aware of
- We provide on-site interpreting. If you need written translations with legal effect or official recognition, such as documents for notarisation or submission to government agencies, please use an appropriately qualified provider.
- The interpreter conveys what is said and does not replace professional advice: for contract terms, tax and legal matters, rely on your own lawyer, accountant or other adviser, and have important contracts reviewed in advance.

For sightseeing and shopping you usually do not need a dedicated interpreter. If you would like someone to explain and look after you along the way, a Mandarin-speaking guide is a better fit.
Adding a car
Many factories and industrial areas are outside the city centre, and a business day often covers several addresses, so it makes sense to combine the interpreter with a private car charter: the driver keeps you on time and the interpreter stays with you throughout. If your schedule starts the moment you land, add an airport transfer. For hosting clients in comfort, consider the Toyota Alphard. Remember to leave a seat for the interpreter.
