This website, malaysiaroutes.com (Malaysia Routes / 大马路书), is operated by YX Go. This policy explains what information we collect when you browse the site or contact us on WhatsApp or WeChat, and how we use it. We comply with Malaysia’s Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).
What we collect
- Browsing data: we use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags to measure visits and enquiries. They use cookies and similar technologies to record the pages you visit and your device and browser details.
- Source and reference code: if you arrive from an ad, the ad parameters in the link (such as utm_*, fbclid, gclid) are stored in your own browser for up to 90 days. Your browser also creates a reference code (such as YX-ABCDE), kept for 30 days and added to WhatsApp messages you send us so our team can match your enquiry.
- Information you send us: your name, contact details and trip details when you contact us on WhatsApp, WeChat or by email.
How we use it
(1) To reply to enquiries, quote and arrange trips; (2) to measure and improve our advertising; (3) to keep the site running securely. We do not sell your personal data.
Sharing with third parties
Browsing events are sent to Meta and Google to measure advertising. Our server also sends events (without your name or phone number) to Meta. WhatsApp and WeChat messages are handled by those platforms under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Ad source and reference code are stored in your own browser for the periods above. Our server keeps only the link between reference codes and ad click identifiers, for up to 180 days, and does not store your name or contact details. Messages sent on WhatsApp are kept as needed to arrange your trip.
Your choices
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser and use the ad preference settings offered by the ad platforms. You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal data we hold about you by emailing a872541811@gmail.com.
